On Saturday, September 13, nine believers from Santa Cruz and City Team Ministries met to pray for the poor and disadvantaged in Santa Cruz County. The meeting was very positive as attendees sought the Lord’s face for direction.
Besides general prayer for the disadvantaged, the goal of the meeting was to search out how City Team Ministries could best serve Santa Cruz County with the different programs they have to help the poor.
Those who attended the prayer meeting discussed and prayed for the homeless, those with mental illnesses, people with addictions, low income families, and for those impacted by gang violence. They met for two
hours and then broke up into teams and went on prayer walks around the
county.
The group plans to meet again in October and November to continue to pray. If you’re interested in attending, contact Mark Kientzler for more information.
