August 2 at 6:00 a.m. - mark it down on your calendars! That’s when the annual Core Run Swim Run is returning to Santa Cruz. It promises to be a great fundraiser for a great program!
The Core is a non-profit organization by the kids and for the kids. The Core’s end goal is to have a place for kids to hang out that embodies Santa Cruz to its very Core - a hub that will revolve around the active surf lifestyle of the unique kids that comprise our east side community.

At the bottom of most posts on the front page of our site (and in our archives), you will find a series of small links: Comments, Trackbacks, Permalink, and Tell A Friend. These links provide you with the ability to participate in ongoing conversations among the Christian community in Santa Cruz County. Our hope is that ChristianCruz will become a participatory news service for the Christian community in our region of the world.
We are convinced that a public demonstration of the unity of the Christian church across denominational and individual church lines is the foundation of all effective outreach.
Believing that ChristianCruz.com can play a small part in facilitating that unity, we highlight events and news which we believe will be of interest to the larger Christian community in Santa Cruz County.
We do not provide these events and news items to encourage "church-shopping" in any way. Instead, we believe that providing this information will encourage you to pray for other churches and believers in our area. As we identify with each other in prayer, we believe that the Lord will continue to build community among us and that such community will serve as a foundation for us to reach out to those around us who do not yet know Christ.
We believe the following resources will prove helpful to the Christian community in Santa Cruz County as we endeavor to present the good news of Jesus to our friends and neighbors.
