Bethany College students, staff, and faculty will conduct a “City Prayer Walk” of Scotts Valley today from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The Prayer Walk is part of a 24-Hour Day of Prayer conducted by the College early in the Spring and Fall semesters, according to student leaders David McBride and Abigail Ortiz. Dr. Máx Rossi, president of the College, will also lead in the Prayer Walk.
The Walk will consist of two teams. One will begin at Lockhart Road and walk east, the other will walk south from Victor Square. The two teams will end the walk on the four corners of Scotts Valley Drive and Mount Hermon Road. “We want to see God bless the city of Scotts Valley and all who live and work here,” said David McBride. The City Prayer Walk is open to all who would care to join, according to the coordinators.
The theme for this semester’s Day of Prayer is “Fan into flame; Relighting the Fire,” from II Timothy 1:6-8. The Day begin today at 9:00 a.m. with an opening chapel service, the walk starts at 3pm (meet at the four corners of the Mt. Hermon / Scotts Valley Drive intersection) and will conclude Tuesday morning with a Communion Chapel Service at 9:30 a.m.

(Note: although the prayer walk ends today at 5:00 p.m., we will be leaving this notice up on ChristianCruz through 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday to encourage you to join in prayer with our brothers and sisters at Bethany).
