The Sentinel ran a story today about how Target’s corporate offices in Minneapolis have tightened enforcement of their no solicitation policy. This means that the local Salvation Army will not be able to send its bell-ringers to the local Target in Watsonville, which represents a significant portion of their fund-raising activities this holiday season.
Perhaps we could prayerfully consider doing our part as the Christian community in Santa Cruz to make up the difference. The Watsonville chapter of the Salvation Army can be reached at 831.728.4712.
