Chuckk Gerwig, Omar Spence, and David De La Rosa from Elevation in Santa Cruz are working together to host a unique outdoor church gathering at the Santa Cruz Ranch.
Many people love to worship God in church but also love to be out in nature to ride our horses and mountain bikes, motorcycles or hike on weekends so David, Omar, and Chuckk decided to combine them. Outdoor Church is meant to be an alternative service for people who normally don’t go to church, and will take place every Sunday from September 7 through September 28 at 10:00 a.m. (as weather permits) at David’s horse ranch at 5187 Empire Grade.
Methods of transportation can be horseback, mountain bikes, hikers, motorcycles or even cars. David suggests driving to the ranch the first time so he can show you the trails.
Directions:
- Take Highway 1 North out of Santa Cruz
- Go Right on Bay Avenue
- Go Left on High Street for exactly 6 miles
- The Santa Cruz Ranch is on the left side with an Iron Gate
After the four weeks of Outdoor Church, meetings will transition to the Elevation Service at 6:30 p.m. on Sundays (Elevation meets in the Student Center on the campus of Santa Cruz Bible Church).
