The Sentinel recently ran a great story about a group of folks from the Santa Cruz County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans in Aptos and youth from the Child and Family Institute of Aptos and Christ Lutheran Church in Aptos who purchased backpacks and school supplies for middle school and high school students in the Pajaro Valley Unified School District.

We do not provide these events and news items to encourage "church-shopping" in any way. Instead, we believe that providing this information will encourage you to pray for other churches and believers in our area. As we identify with each other in prayer, we believe that the Lord will continue to build community among us and that such community will serve as a foundation for us to reach out to those around us who do not yet know Christ.
We believe the following resources will prove helpful to the Christian community in Santa Cruz County as we endeavor to present the good news of Jesus to our friends and neighbors.
