A 9 week class, Making a Mark, will meet at The Word Shop on Tuesdays at 12:30 beginning October 5. The cost is $30, although no one will be turned away due to lack of funds.
Making a Mark, will use writing and/or visual arts as a spiritual discipline and exploration; a way to communicate with ourselves, God and others. We will use the Gospel of Mark (it’s shortest!) for our kick off, letting the Biblical imagery, message, and power infiltrate our work.
People will be free to write fiction, poetry, prose, journal, nonfiction and/or use any visual medium that they choose to bring to class. A suggested format, method of approach, or medium will be offered at the start of each work period. It can be utilized or ignored as the Spirit leads. Those of you who want to experiment with tagging along on-line are welcome to do so.
