Several churches in the area will be providing seminars and other resources to help local believers engage in intelligent dialogue with their friends regarding the Da Vinci Code novel and film. Below you will find some of the resources which are available — if you know of resources we have not mentioned, feel free to contact us.
Gateway Bible Church
Pastor Fred Hennes of Gateway Bible Church will be teaching a class on the controversial book and film, “The Da Vinci Code.” The novel has sold over 40 million copies and the film, with a release date of May 19, expects to draw an even wider audience. Come and compare the claims of the Bible with those of the novel/film. Become equipped to use the buzz of this film release to bridge a spiritual conversation about Christ. Pray about how God would call and use you in opportunities to share in the hope of Jesus with those who are searching for the truth and an eternal hope. The class will meet May 21st at 6:00 p.m. in the Gateway Bible Chapel.
Santa Cruz Bible Church

Learn what the movie claims and how it can be challenged by historical and biblical evidence. Pastor Bouzeos will go deeper on this subject to equip believers even more when we have conversations about the movie with friends.
Shorelife Community Church
Hear a series of talks and a panel discussion on Dan Brown’s best-selling book The Da Vinci Code. What do the Bible and church history say about Emperor Constantine, the Council of Nicea and the deity of Jesus Christ? Are the Gnostic Gospels reliable New Testament history? Does the evidence prove that Jesus was ever married to Mary Magdalene? If we agree on God, do we have to agree on Jesus? Weekly on Sundays, May 7-28, 10:30 a.m. On May 7, there will be a potluck meal and discussion following the talk.
