Introducing YES! - Young Enough To Serve

by ChristianCruz Staff

The focus of this interdenominational ministry is unleashing the service potential and intergenerational influence of the adults over 50 in our churches.  This is a brand new ministry, YES! Santa Cruz, being launched first right here in Santa Cruz County.

With Boomers cashing their first Social Security checks this year, the age wave is hitting our shores.  The founders of YES! are excited about re-energizing this growing population of older adults, helping churches and the community capitalize on the blessing (not the curse!) of the graying of America and the graying of our churches.

On the first Sundays of the month from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., there will be YES! Santa Cruz gatherings where participants will be motivated to be and do all that God intends for us in these later seasons of life.  If you are 50 years or older .... and not afraid of admitting it .... please join others at the gatherings.

The location of the meetings will rotate quarterly. The initial meeting in Santa Cruz County occurred on September 7, and the next two meetings will take place on October 5, and November 2, and will be hosted at Santa Cruz Bible Church at 440 Frederick Street in Santa Cruz.

The inspirational speaker for the first YES! Santa Cruz Gathering was local author and communicator, Randy Fujishin. Randy’s most recent book is: Your Ministry of Conversation.
