Habitat for Humanity Santa Cruz County is opening up the process to select a family for the next house they will build (on Rooney Street). Families can now apply to be chosen for the house. The first step is to attend one of the following orientation sessions:
June 4, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon (English)
June 4, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. (Spanish)
June 6, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. (English)
June 7, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. (Spanish)
All orientation sessions are held at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church at 9850 Monroe Avenue in Aptos. Potential applicants should call 831.685.0671 to reserve a seat.
In addition, volunteer child care providers will be needed because many of the families will bring their children. So if we can have church members from the community volunteer, it would be great. High School students can receive community service hours through this volunteer opportunity.
