Christmas Concerts and Gift Boutique at Mount Hermon

by ChristianCruz Staff

Two diverse weekends of music for the holiday season highlight Mount Hermon’s 28th annual series of Christmas concerts and buffet dinners, plus the ninth annual Christmas Crafts Boutique, this December.

December 8-11, 2005
The Beene Family are the featured artist group for December 8-11. Raised in California, theyve spent the last ten years in Eastern Tennessee, and have become renowned for their exuberant Southern Gospel sounds, with a vigorous piano accompaniment.  Shandon, Brandon, and Landon Beene were inspired to sing by groups such as the Weatherfords, the Cathedrals, the Hoppers, and the Greenes.  Chrysta (Branson) Beene completes the Beene Family, not only with her dynamic vocals and stage presence, but also with her December 2002 marriage to Brandon Beene.

December 15-18, 2005
Long-time favorites, Opus Dei, have added a fourth member to their popular trio, to make Cantus Dei, with a robust male vocal sound youve appreciated from Ken Carter and friends.  They highlight the second weekend, December 15-18.

Guests may come for the boutique and/or concert alone, or opt for the overnight mini-vacation package in Mount Hermon’s hotel units. Reservations for all nights are open now.

Gift Boutique
The eight-day boutique sale has been scheduled during concert days, with a huge display of Christmas gift items, including baked goods for late holiday plans. Organized by Mount Hermon staff wives, the event is held in the Lower Dining Hall before and after the evening concerts and buffets, and features over 30 booths.
