For over 25 years, Mount Hermon has been ringing in the Christmas season with joyous concerts, great food, and for the last six years, an elegant crafts boutique sale.
This year, the Christmas festivities will take place over two extended weekends, December 11-14 and December 18-21.
TERRY TALBOT and A CELTIC CALL are the featured artists for the first weekend, bringing a Celtic flavor to the celebration of Christmas with a Celtic bagpiper and drummer, guitar, and singers, for an exciting evening with traditional audience caroling also included, and the organ music of Resident Musician David Talbott.
The male trio called OPUS DEI has added two soprano stars from the San Francisco Opera to form GLORIA DEI for the second weekend. Founder Ken Carter has long been a favorite at Mount Hermon, and brings an exciting ensemble of highly professional singers. Audience caroling is a part of this series, too.
The seventh annual boutique sale has been scheduled during concert days, with a huge display of Christian gift items, including baked goods and a variety of candies and preserves for late holiday plans. Organized by Mount Hermon staff wives, under the direction of Patrice Fernald, the gift boutique is held in the Lower Dining Hall before and after the evening concerts and buffets, and features over 30 booths. Proceeds benefit the Mount Hermon Campership Fund.
