Bill Criswell, a former resident of Santa Cruz County and President of Impact Teams International, will be joining the congregation of Coast Chapel for a special weekend of sharing about serving the nations for Jesus.
Bill will be speaking at three events:
- Men’s Gathering on Friday, September 10 at 7:00 p.m.
- Men’s Gathering on Saturday, September 11 at 9:00 a.m. through lunch
- Coast Chapel Sunday Service on September 12 at 10:00 a.m.
As one of 6 children, Bill spent his early years in coastal California’s Santa Cruz. After spending three years in the US Marine Corps he returned home, married Stephanie, started a construction company, and became active in mission work with his local church.
As Bill puts it, “These were our normal years”. After studying for the ministry with a major denomination, Bill and Stephanie closed their business and in 1989 took a position with Youth With a Mission as the Over-Seas Project Coordinator of Relief Programs.
In 1992 Bill established a relief and development organization, Impact Teams International (ITI), that focuses on the restoration of children, families, and communities. ITI combines the efforts of short-term volunteer specialists from business, construction, health care, government etc with long-term staff to help solve some of the world’s inequities.
Bill and his teams have worked in Northern Iraq, Bosnia, Kosovo, Cambodia, Vietnam, North Korea, and Afghanistan. Bill works with the Christian business community, teaching and networking them with opportunities in foreign nations. He travels and speaks internationally, challenging the body of Christ to serve the nations.
Bill and his international leadership team are located near Seattle, Washington in the town of Freeland.
