Biblical Hermeneutics Symposium

On May 7, Church of the King and the Center for Cultural Leadership will co-sponsor a symposium on Biblical hermeneutics at Life Spring Church (1255 41st Avenue in Capitola). This symposium, scheduled to take place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., is designed for Christians serious about Bible study, teaching and preaching.

Speakers will be John H. Armstrong, Founder and President of Reformation and Revival Ministries, and P. Andrew Sandlin, President of the Center for Cultural Leadership and Teacher at Church of the King.

John H. Armstrong will address the following topics:


“The Basics of Biblical Hermeneutics”
“Christ: The True and Lasting Fruit of Biblical Interpretation”
“Metaphors and Meaning: Reading the Bible With Open Eyes and Teachable Hearts”

P. Andrew Sandlin will address these topics:


“Implications of Biblical Authority for Biblical Hermeneutics”
“The Hermeneutics of Historical Conditioning”
