CORPORATE LIAISON/RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for marketing and recruitment for the APPL (Accelerated Programs in Professional Leadership) program, including management of promotional materials and promotion of APPL through contact with businesses, community colleges, churches and the community. Establishes contacts with corporations, colleges and churches in order to establish a regular source of students for APPL, and is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of strong corporate relations. May assist students through the admission and enrollment process.
DUTIES:
1. Establishes and maintains recruitment contact with businesses, corporations, community colleges, churches and Christian organizations, including
a) Providing information about Bethany College and APPL.
b) Distributing and monitoring use of promotional literature.
c) Conducting Information Seminars in the corporate setting.
d) Creating new client bases for Bethany College where none have previously existed
2.Promotes and negotiates corporate support of employee education through APPL.
3. Attends College Fairs and Business Expositions as deemed necessary to provide information and promote APPL.
4. Works with the Director to ensure that all promotional material i.e. recruitment brochures, posters, etc. is well supplied.
5. Manages certain aspects of recruitment/enrollment, including initial and follow-up calls, and file maintenance, including:
a) Responding to and logging initial inquiries regarding APPL, including initial mailing.
b) Tracking prospective students throughout the enrollment process, including initial data cards and database creation and maintenance.
c) Creation and maintenance of student files and ensuring completion of the enrollment process.
6. Provides follow-up contact on all telephone inquiries to encourage attendance at Information Sessions, to schedule transcript evaluations, and encourage the financial and other aspects of the enrollment process.
7. Other duties as assigned by the Director.
EDUCATION/SKILLS:
1. Bachelor’s degree preferred, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, informed and knowledgeable in the area of degree completion programs and adult learning.
2. Experience in marketing and an understanding of marketing principles.
3. Informed and knowledgeable concerning the School of Distributed Learning, APPL & EDP, and Bethany College.
4. Knowledgeable regarding the business community, especially in the South Bay area. Generally well-informed and able to establish rapport in a variety of settings.
