Position Title:
School of Distributed Learning Admissions Assistant
Date Available:
August 1st 2004
Position:
Full-time staff, 40 hours/week
Position Summary:
Receives inquiries for APPL and EDP, provides initial information to prospective students, responsible for recruitment mailings and new student mailings, assists with clerical responsibilities relating to admissions and recruitment for SDL office.
Qualifications:
1. Effective interpersonal communication skills.
2. Proficient at written and spoken communications.
3. Ability to perform detailed clerical work.
4. Understands and follows established procedures and policies.
5. Experience with computer, word processing, and phone skills.
6. Ability to maintain accurate files and records.
7. Time management and organizational skills.
8. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships between faculty, staff, and students.
9. Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
Essential Duties:
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Answer phones and inquiry e-mails
2. Process mail/incoming FAX
3. Send recruitment and program information
4. Maintain files, lists and directories
5. Keep prospective students informed
6. Enter Data and process reports.
