Bethany 2004 Commencement Exercises

The 84th annual commencement exercises for Bethany College will be held this Saturday, May 8, at 10:00 a.m. in the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium, 307 Church Street. Dr. M?mo Rossi, Jr., Bethany’s president since August of 2003, will be the keynote speaker.

108 bachelor degree diplomas will be awarded to students who have completed their four-year courses of study in the wide variety of majors provided at the Scotts Valley college. In addition, post baccalaureate diplomas will be awarded to 20 students who have completed Bethany’s teacher credential program, and a record 11 diplomas will be awarded to students earning the master of arts in education. The college’s certification program in addiction counseling (CPAC) will be recognizing 19 students for completion of that course.

The commencement service culminates the 2003-2004 school year at the college. The traditional baccalaureate service will be held this Friday night, May 7, at 8:00 p.m. in Craig Chapel on the Bethany campus, 800 Bethany Drive, Scotts Valley. Dr. Martin Harris, vice president for enrollment, student life, and development, will be the keynote speaker for that service.
