The Veritas Forum is a national organization designed to satisfy the need for God’s truth to be heard at the university level through the language of the student. The Veritas Forum began at Harvard in 1992 and has since spread throughout the country.
The Veritas Forum at UCSC started last April, as Michael Behe, Professor of Biochemistry at Lehigh University and the author of Darwin’s Black Box was hosted. The turnout was impressive, with a large number of unchurched students eager to hear an alternative to the university’s relentless materialism.
Through God’s grace, the Veritas Forum at UCSC has been able to arrange a one hour show on SC Community TV to broadcast those speakers and others – such as Philip Johnson, Os Guiness, Nancy Pearcey and Dallas Willard.
“The Veritas Forum” airs on channel 27 (Comcast) and channel 73 (Charter) on Fridays at 4:00 p.m. on Santa Cruz County Community Television. Keep an eye on the event notices here at ChristianCruz to find out who will be featured each Friday in June.
