Our hope is that ChristianCruz will become a participatory news service for the Christian community in our region of the world so that notices of events, for example, can be followed up with reports of how the Lord accomplished His purposes at those events. As believers learn of events through ChristianCruz, they can attend those events and then return to this website to report on the Lord’s work. The Gideons in Santa Cruz
David De La Rosa, the President of th Santa Cruz Gideon Camp, reports that the Gideons had some great results in Santa Cruz County during the month of October and the first part of November:
We gained several new members and we handed out 1,000 New Testaments at UCSC. We were able to purchase several thousand New Testaments thanks to generous donations we received. Our new Women’s Auxiliary distributed New Testaments in the Women’s Jail and Women’s Shelter here in Santa Cruz, and we’ve always got a Gideon in the Men’s Jail weekly as well as Dan and Beverly Adams handing out Scriptures with coffee each week on the Pacific Garden Mall.
