WHAT'S YOUR PERSPECTIVE?

Our hope is that ChristianCruz will become a participatory news service for the Christian community in our region of the world so that notices of events, for example, can be followed up with reports of how the Lord accomplished His purposes at those events. As believers learn of events through ChristianCruz, they can attend those events and then return to this website to report on the Lord’s work. Comments allow you to report such follow-up news right here on ChristianCruz.com. If you have any questions about how to use these features, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Sharefest

ShareFest is an event sponsored by Santa Cruz County area churches to demonstrate God’s love by reaching out to those in need within the Santa Cruz community during a weekend of service and giving.  It consists of three components:

  1. October 1-22: Material goods are collected for distribution to those in need — coats for homeless, food for food pantries, new toys for needy tots. Blood drives for the Red Cross will occur throughout October.  Many churches may like to take an offering during October to be shared among groups serving in the county (like Love, Inc.).

  2. Saturday, October 22: Work projects to benefit people or social service agencies in need are done by churches across Santa Cruz County.

  3. Sunday Night, November 11: Celebration & Concert of Prayer — Participants of ShareFest worship God for His goodness & pray for our community.
