CommunityFest, scheduled for Saturday, October 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., will be a celebration of the founding of Santa Cruz and a gift to the community. A renewed desire to express the love of God in a fresh way grew out of a prayer summit of leaders from many different churches in the area. Co-sponsored by many churches and businesses, the week of good works will seek to introduce caring people with identified needs throughout the county. The week will culminate at San Lorenzo Park with multiple venues of music, food booths, art displays, clothing distribution, activities for children, a blood drive, a food drive, a clothing drive, and health screening.
