“Peter, a homeless man, called needing a one-way bus ticket to Seattle. He had been robbed and assaulted, losing everything except his I. D. Following the Love INC plan, Santa Cruz Bible Church had referred him to us.
“He was calling from a place where we would not be able to call him back, so I had him walk over to Christian Life Center which was close to his location. I talked to Ali at CLC and they put Peter to work to earn his $49 bus ticket that day, sending him off with prayer.”
“A young mother with a 4 year old, husband is incarcerated, was going hungry and needed car insurance. She was feeding her child each day, but if there were not leftovers she did not eat. She said her child came first. I called a church for food and they took it to her and then I called three churches to help with the insurance. They all came through. A total of $295.13. Praise God for His goodness!”
Love INC exists to connect Christians in meaningful ways to the needy. They provide churches with the format to poll your members on using their gifts to care for the poor. Love INC provides training and supervision if you have a member able to volunteer in our office. These volunteers answer the phones, contact the appropriate agencies, verify the pertinent facts and pray with those calling out for God’s help. It is a proven, Biblical system being used in over 100 communities in the U. S. started some 26 years ago.
Love INC has just ten churches helping with volunteers and finances. Please prayerfully consider joining in this network to show Christ’s real love in a new way in our county.
