WHAT'S YOUR PERSPECTIVE?

Our hope is that ChristianCruz will become a participatory news service for the Christian community in our region of the world so that notices of events, for example, can be followed up with reports of how the Lord accomplished His purposes at those events. As believers learn of events through ChristianCruz, they can attend those events and then return to this website to report on the Lord’s work. Comments allow you to report such follow-up news right here on ChristianCruz.com. If you have any questions about how to use these features, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Please note: to prevent inappropriate messages (often called "comment spam"), comments will not appear on the site until they have been approved by our staff. Thank you very much for your understanding.

Human Race 2006

Each year, the Volunteer Centers of Santa County sponsors the Human Race, an opportunity for volunteer organizations (including churches and ministries) to raise funds to support their work. Last year, over 150 different agencies participated.

This year’s Human Race is scheduled for Saturday, May 13.

Any non-profit, school, service club or church group can participate by paying a $10 materials fee and recruiting walkers. Your church or ministry will be listed on the Human Race website, and in all printed Human Race agency lists. It’s a painless, fun way to raise money. The Volunteer Center plans, publicizes, organizes and manages the event. They provide the instructions, maps, pledge sheets, Human Race T-Shirts and hats, refreshments and awards.

A kickoff breakfast for participating organizations will take place on Wednesday, February 8 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. at the Seacliff Inn (7300 Old Dominion Court in Aptos).

For more information about how your church or ministry can be involved, contact Michelle at 831.429.1162.
