    The Bridge of Hope Foundation is a community service organization providing help to low income nursing home residents and people living with disability. The organization provides weekly nursing home worship services, transportation to church, birthday and holiday celebrations, one-on-one visitation, outings, camp sponsorships to camps for people with disabilities, material goods such as clothing, inspirational CDs, batteries to power wheelchairs, hand cycles, and medical equipment.

    MBSF is a group dedicated to the college and career aged (primarily ages 18-24) and their walk with God. The group started as a small Bible study in a home, and it has grown to now be represented on eight Northern California college campuses. Groups meet for Bible Study / Life talks in San Jose on Tuesday nights, in Santa Cruz on Wednesdays, and in Tracy and Stockton on the first and third Thursday nights of each month.     The Retrouvaille Marriage Help Program consists of a weekend experience combined with post-weekend sessions. It is designed to provide the tools to help put your marriage in order again. The main emphasis of the program is on communication between husband and wife. It will give you the opportunity to rediscover each other and to examine your lives together in a new and positive way.

  • St. Francis Soup Kitchen
    St. Francis Catholic Kitchen was founded by Father Peter Carota. Peter Carota was a former real-estate salesman. In 1981, he sold his own home and used the money to start St. Francis Catholic Soup Kitchen. In the beginning, they fed the poor from the back of a van. In 1983, Peter and some of the other volunteers were able to purchase the current property at 205 Mora which is right behind the San Lorenzo Lumber on River Street. Peter also started a shelter at 132 Lennox Street - Jesus, Mary, Joseph Home. Peter has since become a priest, but his work at the Soup Kitchen and Jesus, Mary, Joseph Home is being carried on by a group of dedicated volunteers.

  • St. Vincent DePaul Society
    The St. Vincent DePaul Society serves the poor at the grass-roots level. They bring comfort the way Jesus did, person-to-person. Sometimes they just listen or offer a compassionate word. In emergencies they bring needed financial aid, food, and referrals, without judging. Vincentians believe each contact with the needy is an opportunity to meet Jesus. Or as Mother Teresa of Calcutta has called them, "Christ in a distressing disguise". Maintaining the client's dignity and confidentiality are critical factors of this ministry. Just as poverty and suffering do not discriminate against whom they visit, neither does the Vincentian discriminate against those who seek help.

  • Santa Cruz Christian Ministries
    Santa Cruz Christian Ministries, Inc. seeks innovative ways to share God's plan of salvation message (i.e., through Christ Jesus), with a lost world. They hand out free Bibles, air television commercials promoting Christ Jesus as the only way into heaven, and participate in other ongoing front line evangelism efforts in Santa Cruz County and abroad.

By asking the pressing questions on campus and answering them with respected university voices, The Veritas Forum hopes to engage the entire university in fruitful discussion.

  • Voice For Life
    Voice For Life's stated purpose is threefold: 1) to inform and organize the local church community to seek justice by opposing abortion with its companion evils, infanticide, euthanasia and fetal experimentation, and by working for legislation to protect human life; 2) to show mercy by encouraging the development of ministries to women with crisis pregnancies and to women wounded by abortion; and, 3) to uphold the truth by publicly protesting abortion.
