As a group of believers, we subscribe to three core values:
- We will focus first and foremost on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Only from an intimate walk with Christ can an individual be truly effective in serving Him and His people. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
- We will function collaboratively as one unit - the body of Christ, which is composed of many distinct parts that contribute uniquely to the beautiful unity of the whole. “The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ." 1 Corinthians 12:12
- By focusing on the first two values, we will accomplish our third value - outward actions that represent our dedicated hearts. Our hearts resonate with the words of St. Francis of Assisi: “(We will) preach (the gospel) always and, when necessary, (we will) use words. “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. In the same way let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14, 16
